Greenery
and water management

We support the daily management of urban space

Managing greenery and water in the city today is not just about maintenance, but strategic investment planning, cost optimization, and responding to the effects of climate change.

That's why we provide tools that help managers of urban greenery make sound operational decisions, and also better plan, justify, and finance nature-based actions in public space.

Urban greenery inventory

Cool City enables a comprehensive inventory of urban greenery using modern remote sensing methods. Remote sensing data allow for quick and precise determination of species, distribution, and condition of vegetation without the need for long-term field measurements. Thanks to this, cities receive a full, up-to-date picture of their green resources, essential for effective spatial planning and management.

Decisions on new investments – what, where, and how?

We help in making daily decisions: where to plant trees, which streets require urgent greening, how to improve the microclimate in squares and housing estates. Our analyses are based on detailed spatial data (aerial and satellite). This allows us to identify the places most in need of intervention and advise on the best solutions – depending on environmental, water, and urban conditions.

NBS solutions catalog - comparing effectiveness in a given location

Every action has its cost and potential effect. We offer comparisons of options from the NBS (nature-based solutions) catalog, which allow for assessing the effectiveness of various solutions (e.g., green tram tracks vs. avenue trees vs. rain garden) in the context of specific goals: improving retention, reducing temperature, increasing biodiversity. We support the rational choice of solutions that best meet local needs, spatial conditions, and maintenance capabilities while optimizing expenses.
